Israeli Holocaust Museum director condemns equaling of Stalinism, Nazism

Claims by certain European countries that Hitler and Stalin committed similar crimes have been opposed at a meeting of the Israeli government. "Stalin and Hitler are given similar characteristics, and crimes of totalitarian regimes are discussed. Such discussions bring to naught the significance of Holocaust," Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum Director General Avner Shalev said in a speech

The Berlin international conference "Legacy of World War Two and Holocaust" is pursuing the unity of the anti-fasciscy forces

Delegates from 25 countries in the world have gathered in Berlin to coordinate efforts in the fight against attempts at distorting history and eulogizing fascism. Among the aims of the "Lessons of World War 2 and the Holocaust" conference in Berlin is raising to a higher level the anti-fasciscy movement and  the objective is spelled out officially in the final resolution of the conference.
